Alert info is a ‘special tag’ you can mark your inbound calls with. Marking can be done based on inbound number (e.g. different mark for different inbound number), call queues – e.g. mark inbound calls as ‘Sales’ if they come from Sales queue etc. Once marked, your IP Phone can use different ring tones for different calls (based on Alert Info mark). This can be useful to distinguish calls addressed to different business, but answered on the same handset or to distinguish calls addressed to Sales or Support.
Call queue prefix is an add-on to caller ID shown on your IP Phone for incoming calls that go through the queue. This prefix allows you to see what queue the call is coming from (e.g. from Sales queue or from Support queue)
Blacklist enables you to block certain numbers. This can be useful when you continue receiving calls from a certain number that you know are always a waste of time, they can be blocked before anyone has to answer.
Direct Inbound System Access (DISA) allows you to dial into your Hosted PBX from any regular phone. Once dialled, you will be prompted to enter special access code. You will then be given a dial tone which allows you to dial any number, including special feature codes, internal numbers or international numbers. This could be used to make overseas calls from your mobile at the cost of a local call.
Time Conditions can be set so that calls can be routed to different queues or extensions based the on time of the day. This can be useful to redirect calls to voicemail after hours or to different staff depending on the time of day. Calls can also be forwarded to any other external number (including overseas) during any ‘preprogramed timeframe’.
Busy Lamp Field Indicator (or BLF) is an enhanced feature of our Hosted PBX system.
BLFs are ‘buttons’ on some business VoIP Phones (e.g. Yealink T26). Those buttons can display status of other extensions in the system, allowing user to monitor the status of other phones in their business. Phones can have the following states: Available(green light), Ringing(flashing red), Busy(red), Unavailable(orange); Even if your phones distributed over multiple offices, you can still see status of all your phones.
Group Voicemail lets you send voicemail messages to a group of people. This is useful if you want voicemail messages going to all members of the sales department instead of just one extension.
Listen and Whisper allows a manager to help train new staff on the phone by being able to listen to the call as it is happening and talking only to the operator so the person on the other end cannot hear what is said. This can be a great tool for coaching or monitoring calls to maximise efficiency.
The callback feature allows you to get the system to call you back so you can then make calls through the hosted PBX at the reduced rates. This can be especially useful for making overseas calls from your mobile phone at low call rates.
